AMI/AMM/Smart Grid Unit

In MainNet's PLUS system, AmrPLUS is the unit that enables broadband Advanced Metering Intfrastructure and Management (AMI/AMM) services. It offers robust, broadband network communication over the existing electricity grid, allowing simple integration of a variety of existing metering systems into an IP-based network. The unit, which can interface the meter either directly or via a data logger, supports multi-Utility control (such as, electricity, gas and district heating) in parallel, as well as same-time Smart-Grid applications to monitor power outage, load balancing, power theft detection and power failure prediction.
The AmrPLUS unit is powered by MainNet’s data acquisition system, AmrPoller. This enables Utilities to reduce network management resources and avoid complicated data management. AmrPLUS is also remotely managed by MainNet's network management system, NmPLUS.
